“And they were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, “Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. “Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all”. And He took them in His arms and began blessing them, laying His hands on them. – Mark 10:13-16
Childhood is the foundation on which the entire life of a person rests. It is the time when a child learns the ropes of leading a respected life while being led into the light of God’s word. But, not every child is fortunate enough to be born to people with all luxury. Those who are born in misery don’t even get basic amenities, therefore how they can lead their life with dignity as they struggle hard to meet their basic requirements of food and shelter, big time.
With an aim to nourish every child, The InnerCity Mission has ignited an initiative named, ‘Every Indigent Child Needs a GEM’ – a monthly giving program.
An Insight into the InnerCity Mission Gems Initiative
The InnerCity Mission GEMs (Giving Every Month) Initiative is a Monthly Giving Program for Partners who pledge to make a regular financial contribution to the InnerCity Mission for Children welfare. The InnerCity Mission gives an opportunity to its partners to work towards transforming the lives of little bundles of joy through collaborative efforts.
Here are the benefits of the GEMs Initiative
- A consistent monthly contribution from a partner provides dependable and consistent financial support to the InnerCity Mission for Children.
- The contribution is utilized to support indigent children and their facilities through a number of initiatives being run by the InnerCity Mission.
Your contribution helps children who are deprived of happiness to embrace their lives with new hopes.
