From the moment parents dropped off the delegates, the journey began that has since changed the lives of the teens forever. Pastor Florence Amosa, Coordinator of the Royalties in Christ Embassy Hawaii, welcomed the youths and recognised all the first timers to the camp. She admonished them to pay attention to everything prepared for them throughout the camp.
Youths from Alaska, Arizona, Chicago, Louisiana and Washington, including the territory of American Samoa to the island of Oahu in the Hawaiian Islands, participated in the eighth edition of CE Hawaii’s Higher Life Youth Camp.
The Higher life youth camp is a reach out programme aimed at impacting the lives of teenagers and youths worldwide.
It is a place where teenagers are trained to see beyond their current situation and know that their lives are for God’s glory. The theme of the camp was “For His Glory” and delegates learned about the power of the mind, honour, attitude and much more.
Rev Chris Oyakhilome has made several efforts in empowering the youths, training them and leading them to live a victorious life and inspiring them to become great leaders of tomorrow.
Pastor Leafe Amosa taught for two days, exhorting the youths to live life with a purpose, refusing to be limited by their age and bearing much fruit with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He charged the youths to use the words they received throughout their time at camp in evangelizing their world.
Christ Embassy has taken the mantle of leadership in bringing all to reconciliation with God. And by ‘all’ we mean, the elderly, they young and ofcourse the youths. Even the Bible clearly gives importance to one’s youthful days as it cleary states in Eccl 12:1, remember now thy creator in the days of thine youth, while the evil days come not nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.
